Jack Tatar Delivers a Great Roadmap for Retirement!,
I just finished reading this book and all I think it's a must read for everyone who has retired or is about to retire. This book prepares us for retirement by giving us common sense information and tools on such areas as financial planning, health, wealth and mental attitude. Retirement is a different pace of life, but not the end of it. Jack Tatar's book prepares us and lets us figure out what we want to do for the rest of our lives.

|No nonsense look at ALL the issues and opportunities,
Over the past two decades, Jack Tatar has researched nearly all aspects of financial services that deal with retirement and personal wealth management, so it's not like he just dreamed up a few buzz words and based a book out of them. No, he really has laid down a lot of the new questions we all need to look at. What I particularly like is that he is not afraid to tackle the non-financial issues and challenges such as health, mental health and attitude. Jack is Wall Street hip but Main Street focused. He's looking out for your welfare, not a commission for himself or his firm. This will be on my desk as begin to enter my retirement years, both as a planner on financial matters, and as a reminder of how to grow older gracefully and with dignity. Thanks for writing it. (Oh, and the website at safe4retirement.com is pretty cool as well.)

|Great, honest and insightful,
I finished this book on a flight yesterday; all I can say is it is great.
Having spent over 20 years working in the financial services industry, I found this book to be a refreshing new perspective on retirement planning. It was well organized with all the right topics. I loved the way the author personalized things, and made the reader feel like even the experts can struggle with many of the same issues that you do. It was like talking to a friend that has gone through it and getting the advice of his experience. I liked the simple to follow steps and check lists to getting started or staying on track.
While proper planning is repeatedly emphisized, he also examined the reality of things. If you have not done enough, it reflect on what you can do now. I also thought the fact that this was not all about the numbers and financial stuff was fantastic. I especially liked the way he addressed the spirituality as a key component to a happy life. Regardless of your religious beliefs, having hope and belief in life and why you are on this earth provides great dividends, and that is what Jack focuses on.
Again, a great read, and I look forward to his next book.
